1. Who this binds
If you submit a Cue package, manifest, documentation, or related materials (“Contribution”) to CueVanta, you agree to this Contributor Agreement in addition to the Terms, AUP, Marketplace Rules, and Free-Use License.
2. Eligibility and authority
You represent that you are at least 16 (or have parent/guardian consent where required) under the Terms, and that you have the right to submit the Contribution (including authority from your employer or co-authors if needed).
3. Ownership
You retain ownership of your original Contribution. This Agreement does not assign copyright to Operator unless you sign a separate assignment.
4. License you grant to Operator
You grant Operator a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable (except as required by takedown law), non-exclusive license to host, copy, automatically validate/scan/sandbox-test, quarantine or reject, publish metadata for when auto-approved, distribute via CueVanta free-tier channels, and sublicense to end users under the Free-Use License (default CueVanta Free Public Grant v0; SPDX choice if Operator enables it later).
5. License you grant to users
When Operator marks a Cue version Published, you grant end users rights under the Free-Use License for that version.
6. No production execute on submit (automated path)
You acknowledge Contributions are not deployed as production-executable code on submit. Path: automated validate → scan → sandbox/test → auto-approve (publish metadata + allowlist) or auto-reject/quarantine. Fail closed. There is no human first-publication review queue. Owner does not routinely approve listings; owner sets policies/prohibited categories and may emergency-shutdown or take exceptional account action.
Only submission formats the automated pipeline can safely validate under free-tier cost limits are eligible. Do not assume a human will accept arbitrary code the sandbox cannot clear.
7. Attestations
For each submission you attest that:
- The Contribution is original to you or properly licensed by you;
- It does not knowingly include secrets, malware, or unlawful content;
- Manifest permissions and capabilities are accurate;
- You will not use CueVanta to launder infringing or harmful payloads.
8. Free; no payment obligation
Operator does not owe you payment, revenue share, or commissions for Contributions under the free-tier model. Future paid programs would need separate written terms.
9. Removal and versions
You may request unpublish of future availability subject to Marketplace Rules and legitimate user grants already given for prior versions. Operator may retain minimal records for security and provenance.
10. Termination
Automated systems may reject, quarantine, suspend, or remove Contributions that fail checks or violate policy; Owner may act on exceptional accounts or emergency shutdown. Your license grants for already published versions survive as stated in the Free-Use License unless lawfully taken down.
